Amici in Seminyak serves Bali’s most expensive Margherita, with two types of mozzarella, a tall fluffy crust, and a cosy, low-lit atmosphere.

In the heart of Seminyak, Amici offers a cosy, low-lit and elegant setting with genuinely warm, attentive service. We’re seated in the indoor terrace at the front. At 210k++ (~240k all in), this is the most expensive Margherita we’ve tried in Bali, so expectations were high.
The pizza looks great, topped with both melted mozzarella and fresh mozzarella — a rare combo in Bali — along with a generous layer of bright sauce and fresh basil. The crust is tall and puffy, fluffy inside and sturdy enough to hold its shape. I’m not a fan of the coarse semolina dusting, and the lighter bake leaves it short on crispness.
The sauce has good coverage but leans sweet rather than rich. It could use a little more cheese and a pinch more salt, and a slightly longer bake would help balance things out. Overall, it’s a solid pizza with nice structure, but at this price, a bit more flavour and refinement would make it shine.
